Honey

A few weeks ago while I was down in Sydney visiting family, my Mum and I decided, slightly boozed, to put some imagery to my song Honey, which before now hasn’t really been heard. Hope you love it.

Mum’s are the best.

Off To Sydney

I love Ben Abraham, so I jumped at the chance to play this gig with him. I’m looking forward to playing this intimate evening in September at The Vanguard!

Aftermath.

A couple of a weeks ago I headed to Sydney to play a show at the Vanguard. While I was down I joined Andy Bull and Hungry Kids Of Hungary on stage at The Metro. Someone uploaded this little video from the night and I thought I’d share it round. I think as far as fan footage goes, it’s a bit of alright.

Also, this Saturday night is a new festival running at the Old Museum called Track & Field. It has lots of brilliant local bands including the Last Dinosaurs, Ball Park Music, The Belligerents and Mitzi as well as DJ sets from Hungry Kids of Hungary, The John Steel Singers and The Honey Month. I think we’re a bit starved for great local music events and I think this is the start of something really special for Brisbane. Come along and check it out if you can! You can find more info here.

Oh, Sydney

This weekend I’m going to head down to Sydney and join the Hungry Kids of Hungary and Andy Bull on stage at The Metro on Saturday night. I’ve already teamed up with Andy once before to perform his song ‘Dog’ in Brisbane so I’m looking forward to doing it all over again down south. Better yet, I’ll also be joining Andy again in Brisbane at the Hifi the following weekend on the 27th. Most importantly however, I’ll be playing my own show at The Vanguard in Newtown with Georgia Fields and Brian Campeau on Sunday the 22nd. It will be a nice early one with doors opening from 6.30pm. To grab yourself a set of tickets head here. I’ve been pretty quiet on the touring front of late while I have been completing my album so this is a little solo one thrown into the mix to keep things interesting.

Speaking of which, I’ve finally finished completely tracking my album. I’m proud as punch, mainly because the process only took me a couple of months and so far I’m feeling pretty good about it. It shouldn’t be too long before you all begin hearing new bits and pieces.

’til then,

Tara x

We’ve been included in the voting for this years IF Awards, so if you feel like being helpful, shoot across to ifawards.com.au/rating/film/i-cannot-be-saved and vote for my clip ‘I Cannot Be Saved’. I’m proud as punch for the guys who have made it and would love to see them recognised for their work.
