Space Dog Love.

New film clip for Single #2, Where Do You Go, from It’s Not Like We’re Trying To Move Mountains. Don’t joke about having a film clip with a dog love story because you may just receive.

Here it is.

Where Do You Go by TaraSimmons

The song is currently sitting on spot rotation on Triple J, so if you want to help bump it up a notch, then please head here and request Where Do You Go. I would greatly appreciate it.

Meanwhile, we also went in to shoot the film clip yesterday. Here are a couple of pics we took while there. The dogs name is Molly and she was co-starring and looking pretty cute in general.

Where Do You Go?

I have good news. I have something to share with everyone very very soon. In the meantime, cast your eyes over the artwork by Monique Kneepkins. She’s a talented one. Check out her other stuff on her website too. monswork.com

Recording in the Home of the Powerful Owl

Today I headed in to Airlock Studios, just outside Brisbane in Samford Valley (Home of the Powerful Owl: see below) with my producer Yanto Browning & drummer Chris O’Neill to track THE VERY LAST SONG for my new album.

It shouldn’t really have happened, because the last extra song we did was supposed to be the last extra song, but this particular one was a track that no one wanted to leave off the album once it was written. Now we have only a few more days of over dubs and bits and bobs before the whole thing is finished, hopefully before no more accidental songs can appear and then need to be added to the ever changing track list. In the meantime, while this album is having it’s finishing touches added, I’ll have a new single for everyone to hear in the not too distant future. Still, for now I’ll share with you some snaps I had been taking on my phone today.

Behind the Scenes

The boys who produced and directed my film clip cut together a little bit of footage shot on the day to share with everyone. It’s kind of amazing how good you can make a shed full of sand look with some talent and perseverance. Unfortunately we’re missing the footage of the poor bastards who had to load it all in. Special mention for the dancers who probably had a rash from dancing on sand for weeks after.
